Jim C. Kirk, Owner Effective June 2008 all shipments valued under $500 will be accessed a $2.00 fee for a required signature. This is an indirect signature and could be signed by anyone in the house or a neighbor or simply by leaving a note on your door to accept the package. Sorry but Fedex will not cover losses if they deliver a package and it is missing when you get home. Unfortunately packages are coming up missing after they are delivered. All shipments with a value greater than $500 requires a direct signature per the Fedex policy.
